Many cry out, “Lord, I surrender,” but when surrender demands movement—sacrifice, obedience, risk—they hesitate. And when someone does take that step, it exposes their comfort. So they call it madness.
They beg for signs, but when the Lord gives one, they dismiss it as a delusion. They sing, “I give you everything,” but won’t take a single step into the unknown. Meanwhile, the one who does—the one who walks through fire, wilderness, and stripping—is labeled as either " too much" or "not enough".
But here’s the truth: light always provokes a reaction. It comforts the humble and confronts the hidden. It draws the hungry and disturbs the proud. When you carry light, you carry disruption. Not because you’re trying to—but because truth always exposes what’s been hiding.
Encouragement
- Noah was mocked until the rain came.
- Jeremiah was weeping while others were partying.
- Jesus was crucified for loving too deeply and obeying too fully.
“Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.” (John 3:19)
When Compassion Was Silent
In the season I lost everything, I reached for the shepherds. But the ones I trusted most turned away — not with malice, but with silence. No mustard seed of compassion. No hand on the shoulder. Just absence.
And yet, from that silence, a seed was planted. OakTree Restoration was born not from comfort, but from consecration. From the ache of abandonment came a deeper call: to become what I needed. To be present where others had vanished.
This ministry is not a reaction — it’s a redemption. Every branch we grow is rooted in the One who never turned away. The single root system beneath us is God Himself. And from that root, we rise.
